Chase came to Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue through a good Samaritan who found him in the Tucson desert. He had mange, dozens of internal and external parasites, and was extremely emaciated. On top of it all, he was diabetic. Somehow, Chase’s spirit was still intact, and he quickly stole the hearts of everyone at ACDR.
After 18 months of care, Chase is finally ready for adoption! He’s fondly called “Mr. Rogers” in his foster home as he is kind, gentle, and makes it his mission to ensure everyone is happy and getting along. Chase is the first to make friends with any new foster pup. While he’s friendly with his canine friends, he’s not so friendly with other small pets including cats and will need to be in a dogs-only home.
His past is long behind him, but Chase will always have some special needs. His diabetes is kept under control with daily insulin shots and a special diet. His forever family will need to be prepared and dedicated in continuing with his medical and dietary needs. The total cost of these special needs is about $200 a month, which ACDR will generously cover even after Chase’s adoption.
Chase is housebroken, crate trained, and fully vetted.
